Very well known quotes such as ‘Holding onto anger is like holding a hot coal with the intent of throwing it at someone else; you are the one that gets burned’ are Buddhist quotes that spread the feeling of Buddhism; people using this or similar connotations may be totally unaware that they originate from the Buddha.
